So, we’re planning on moving to Washington. I think most of the people who are likely to read here occasionally know that by now, but those of you who didn’t are now informed. We are very excited about it. There will be some difficulties involved in the process, but we anticipate this being a good thing for our family. Serena is hoping to join a pharmacy residency program in a hospital upon graduating. In February, she flew out to Washington to conduct interviews and generally have a good time while I stayed home and let the children destroy the apartment. This Wednesday the residency match is conducted and we will find out the results.
I turned 30 last month. That’s cool, I have no problem with that. Except, I have a couple problems with that. They’re not your typical problems about growing old or whatever. It’s more like, I’ve always considered the ages 30-34 to be the ‘creepy’ ages. I don’t have an explanation for why that is. Here’s an example:
“Hey, bro, you talk to that Bill guy at the party last night?” Fake Scott uses the word ‘bro’ and goes to parties. He’s also a pilot, but that’s not relevant.
“Yeah, he’s ok.”
“Ok? I thought he was great. Remember when we partied so hard?” Fake Scott is hardcore.
“Yeah, you guys were really partying.”
“Yeah. I think I’m going to call him and see if he wants to party some more.”
“Dude. Don’t do that. Bill’s 33 years old.”
“Seriously?”
“Yeah.”
“I need to take a shower.”
“You were like the only guy partying with him.”
“Bro, Bill said he was going to be at the party on Friday.”
“Better watch your wallet.”
Finally, there have been a few people wondering what happened to the videos of Odessa. Every few months I move the junk on the front page to an archive of sorts. If you click the ‘old’ link in the menu on the top right, you’ll get to that section. It would probably be easier, however, if you just go to our vimeo page, which is vimeo.com/vonrudens. There will be all the videos we’ve uploaded, which isn’t many at this point. However, and I’ve been saying this for a while, I do intend to add more videos in the future. We sure have enough of them. So if you get used to going to vimeo.com/vonrudens, you’ll be able to access everything right from there. I’ve also added the vimeo link to the ‘About’ page on this website.
