Time for our monthly website update. We’ve kept busy. A few weeks ago, we took Odessa to Cave of the Mounds, which was preceded by a week of preparatory cave education. As a result, she enjoyed the cave more than she might’ve otherwise, though she is still a bit young to grasp the amazing nature of cave formations. And she only touched one piece of active flowstone, which has to be considered a success. To follow it up, we went to the UW-Geology Museum, a favorite place of mine and one I visited several times as an undergrad.
Yesterday we went to our 4.5th Decemberists concert at the Overture Center. It was a good time and I am very certain that a woman towards the front was doing the Batty Bat. We’ve also started going geocaching, which Odessa is just old enough to find exciting, spent some time at the capitol on big protest days, and continued working on planning our move to Washington.
Below are some pictures of things that have happened this year. There are no pictures of Leo’s black eye; you’ll just have to use your imagination. Actually, I encourage you to do so.
